NLR -Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum

Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre is an independent non-profit organisation that provides technological support to aerospace industries, civil and military aircraft operators, airport with ATC systems, authorities and international organisations. It is a national and international customer-oriented research organisation for aircraft development, aircraft operations and space technology. It is the crucial enterprise for aerospace technology in the Netherlands to ensure greater sustainability, safety and efficiency through innovation in aerospace technologies and applications and plays a central role in coordinating drones and UAM R&D. It links science, industry and government. It has extensive experience with drone operations at controlled and uncontrolled airports for civil and military purposes. In fact, it was the first independent civil organisation in the Netherlands to fly drones at a controlled airfield in controlled airspace.

In ASSURED – UAM, NLR:

  • contributes to the ASSURED UAM Operational concepts

  • foresees UAM deployment, recommendation and standards definition

  • contributes to the dissemination of project results
